Anytime you can see your opponents back you can attack it. However, sometimes it can be difficult to figure out how to do that.
I first learned this style of back attack from Braulio Estima as a way to counter an opponent spinning out of the Estima Lock. It’s quite an unexpected way of attacking the back, so can easily catch your opponent off guard. Since then, I’ve applied the same dive roll concept to several other situations.
