When you’re fighting an opponent who’s playing half guard, stop them from establishing a strong underhook. If your opponent gets the underhook, they will be able to sweep and submit you.
While preventing your opponent from getting the underhook is always going to be the best option, if you lose the underhook battle, all is not lost, there are still some pass you can do.
