2 Minute Jiu Jitsu Ep 29: Back Step Half Guard Pass

When you’re fighting an opponent who’s playing half guard, stop them from establishing a strong underhook. If your opponent gets the underhook, they will be able to sweep and submit you.

While preventing your opponent from getting the underhook is always going to be the best option, if you lose the underhook battle, all is not lost, there are still some pass you can do.

Episode 29 of 2 Minute Jiu Jitsu covers the back step pass. You can use this technique anytime your opponent beats you in the underhook battle.
