Learning to transition in and out of submissions is an important skill to develop. If you can master these transitions, you’ll create an inescapable web of destruction and death for your opponents!!!
Maybe that’s a slight exaggeration, but you will be able to catch more submissions.
There are numerous submission transitions in Jiu Jitsu, however, some of them can be used in more situations than others.
An example of this is the hip bump to triangle.
While this transition can be used as shown in the video below, the same movement is used to attack the triangle pretty much any time your opponent posts on the ground with you below them. So it’s used to triangle from half guard, if your opponent is escaping mount, if they defend a sweep, and a but of other ways.
