For the longest time, I thought every training session I did had to be insanely challenging and leave me in a broken mess on the floor.
Unfortunately, this often made me dread training, and I’d end up finding excuses skip sessions.
Then a friend gave me one of the best pieces of advice I’ve ever received. He said something along the lines of:
“Don’t try to be the person who does an INSANE training sessions every day…just be the person who trains every day.”
A lot of people get caught in a trap of thinking they don’t have time, or energy, to do a session, or the session needs to be a full-on 2-hour marathon.
So they end up doing nothing at all.
But it doesn’t have to be like that.
10 minutes of drilling, running, pushups, or even watching a video every day will get you results, and make you BETTER than just doing nothing.
So just do something.
If it happens to be something small, NO PROBLEM, at least you’ve kept improving.
But even a tiny improvement is still an improvement.
Until next time,
– Tom
