The Single Leg takedown is arguably the most important takedown in Jiu Jitsu. The reason for this is the single leg is used in many different situations and can be combined with many other attacks. For example, the single leg can be used as an escape from side control.
In this video, you’ll learn the correct positioning for the single leg (something I got wrong for years) and three ways to complete the takedown.
- Single Leg Positioning (0:00 – 3:00)
- Entry Off Collar Grip to Drag Down(3:00 – 5:01)
- Entry Off Collar Grip to Running the Pipe (5:01 – 6:24)
- Knee Bump to Foot Sweep (6:24 onwards)
