The De La Riva guard is one of the most effective guards in Jiu Jitsu and a very strong attacking position. If you can force your opponent into your De La Riva guard you’ll be in a great position to win the contest.
In this video, you’ll learn one of the ways I force people into my De La Riva guard and three of my favourite submissions that come off that initial attack. Plus you’ll also learn a bunch of other things that will improve your De La Riva game, including:
– correct foot position and how it’ll stop you getting your guard passed
– how I crush the life out of people in my triangle
– the leg position that will help increase your Omaplata success.
